Location/Quest:

Usually, it can be found in the same locations as dragon priests. Because it is only found in Nordic tombs, it cannot be acquired from Krosis. It can be found in Forelhost, High Gate Ruins, Lost Valkygg, Ragnvald, Castle Volkihar, Labyrinthian, Volskygge, Valthume and Skuldafn. Once the Alteration skill reaches 90, you can ask Tolfdir if there is anything else he can teach about Alteration. This will start the “Alteration Ritual Spell” quest where Tolfdir will ask for dragon heartscales. Kahvozein’s Fang is the only weapon that can get them. The dagger can be kept and used to get more dragon heartscales after completing the quest. It must be wielded in the right hand in order to collect heartscales.

Daggers

The dagger is a light, One-Handed short blade weapon that can be found of crafted in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In general it deals the lowest amount of damage though its wielding speed is the fastest of any other One-Handed weapon category like the Sword, Mace, or War Axe. The dagger‘s attack speed is faster, allowing the wielding character to be more nimble and making the dagger a very suitable weapon for the thief.

That way stealth skills can deal significant damage multiplier, often resulting in opponent’s instant kill animation. Since the dagger has a shorter reach than most other weapons. When dual wielding daggers with the Assassin’s Blade perk and Shrouded Gloves, the daggers sneak attack can do a total of 30x damage.

The dagger, being the smallest weapon, it’s the weakest one to use when it comes to blocking opponent’s blows, compared to Two-Handed weapons which result in highest damage absorption when blocking. Most daggers have an attack speed of 1.3 and a maximum reach of 0.7. These two statistics are consistent for all daggers regardless of material.
