Description:
The Rueful Axe is a a special Two-handed Battleaxe located in Skyrim. The Rueful Axe was given to Sebastian Lort, who had begged Clavicus Vile to help him cure his daughter of Lycanthropy. This weapon can be obtained during the Daedric quest "A Daedra's Best Friend" and its ment as a reward from Clavicus Vile in exchange for killing Barbas. The Rueful Axe can be upgraded with an Ebony Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk, but it does not benefit from any Smithing perks.

Battle Axes
Battleaxes are massive, Two-Handed Axes located in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. They deal more damage than One-Handed War Axes, but are far larger and heavier. Battleaxes can come by in Skyrim are very different in shape, capacity of damage, weight, value, options of enchantments or upgrades and its rareness. The damage caused by certain type of Battleaxe is based on the current skill level. This can be improved with gaining higher Two-handed skill levels or by gaining different perks, to make weapon more powerful. Battleaxes are not very fast weapons in terms of swing speed in Two-handed weapons category.
Battleaxes swing slower than greatswords, but quicker than warhammers. Due to the use of both hands, a spell or another weapon cannot be used while a two-handed weapon is equipped. When using two-handed weapons, the weapon can be used to block incoming attacks. Two-handed weapons can do significantly more damage per strike than single one-handed weapons made of the same materials, but they take more time to swing and their power attacks drain stamina faster. Two-handed weapons have a greater reach than one-handed weapons and cannot be dual-wielded.
